A FORM OF INDENTURE BETWEEN

The Corporation of Governors of The Church Trust for the Moral Reform of Wayward Girls (hereinafter called "the Master")

-and-

The Trustees of The Archbishop of York's Fund for Education and Moral Reform (hereinafter called "the Fund")

-and-

....................................... (hereinafter called "the Parent")

-in the matter of-

....................................... (hereinafter called "the Pupil")

 

Whereas the Parent has applied to the Master for the provision of Educational Services to the Pupil and has declared that same Parent does not have the means to pay directly the School Fees demanded by the Master

and

the Master having declared himself willing to undertake the provision of Educational Services to said Pupil

and

the Fund having agreed to make available to the Master the monies equivalent and necessary to defray the School Fees for the aforesaid Educational Services in respect of the said Pupil by way of a Charitable Scholarship Disbursement

the Parent doth hereby Declare that

(i) the Parent is the legal guardian in all matters of the said Pupil;
(ii) the Pupil is of not more than fourteen years of age at the date of this Indenture;
(iii) the Pupil is in good health and able to undertake Domestic Service

and solemnly Undertakes that

the Pupil shall live in the care and employment of the Master from a date to be determined by the Master and the Parent shall deliver up said Pupil to the premises of the Master on the determined date

and

the Pupil shall remain in the care and employment of the Master for a period hereinafter to be determined by the Master but which shall not be less than that which extends to the sixteenth birthday of the Pupil and not more than that which extends to the twentyfirst birthday of the Pupil

and

the Master is hereby granted irrevocable and entire rights in loco parentis as to the education, care, instruction, employment and correction of said Pupil

and in Consideration whereof the Master shall register the said Pupil at Hardacre Hall Boarding School as a Charitable Scholar and shall instruct the said Pupil in all matters of work, manners, dress and discipline suitable and applicable to the trade or occupation of Domestic Service

and in Agreement heretofore the Parties shall set their Seals and Signatures:
