    During the 1930's, the pupils of Hardacre Hall competed for the School Board Prize for Literature. Pupils were required to write an essay on "Life in the 1930's".

    All of the essays in the following Roll of Honour were commended by the judges. The original works have been archived in trust for future generations of pupils, to illustrate what can be achieved with proper incentives.
